Overlooking the shores of England’s largest lake, the English heritage-listed Windermere Hotel has been welcoming guests since 1847 and is a firm favourite with visitors to the Lake District to this day. It is the perfect place from which to explore the lakes, and many of the region’s most stunning walks can be started nearby. The hotel’s period charm is sharply contrasted by its modern amenities, giving its guests the best of both worlds. Guests can enjoy fantastic and varied menus in the restaurant, and after spending time discovering the local area, why not have a nightcap in the Orrest Head Lodge bar? The lodge has wonderful views of the lake, and you can soak up the relaxing atmosphere as the sun goes down at night.Need further information?
