We call at Dorchester, Dorset’s county town and the birthplace of Thomas Hardy.

We continue to Lyme Regis, a pretty seaside resort that offers breathtaking scenery, beautiful beaches and a fascinating history.
Day at leisure to explore Weymouth at your own pace. A small harbour town in the 12th century, Weymouth is now a popular holiday destination with beautiful beaches, spectacular scenery and an historic fishing harbour.
Custom House Quay is on the Melcombe Regis side of the river estuary and the Old Harbour is on the Weymouth side. The two harbours often opposed each other, but were officially united in the reign of Elizabeth I by a bridge built in 1597. The present bridge dates from 1930, and raises every two hours to allow ships to pass through.
Enjoy another day in seaside Weymouth today, or alternatively join our optional excursion to Poole, a bustling resort and known for being the home of Europe’s largest natural harbour.
We continue on to visit the popular seaside resort of Bournemouth. This stylish resort offers everything you would expect from a British seaside holiday town, including a Victorian Pier, golden beaches and beautiful gardens.
The optional excursions will be available to book during your tour.

A scenic journey awaits today as we pass through the quaint village of Corfe Castle to visit the seaside town of Swanage.
We return to Weymouth via a stop at beautiful Lulworth Cove. Tiny Main Road leads through the charming village to the panoramic view of the cove. A pebbled beach and crystal-clear waters make this one of the most popular spots on the Dorset Coast.

I enjoyed the holideay in Weymouth very much but have several aspects which were a bit disappointing. The hotel was in a wonderful situation and the bedroom was fine. The food wasn't always good. It appeared to have been cooked several hours beforehand and just kept warm. The trips out were very pleasant . The journeys to and from Weymouth were, of course, tiresome The driver was very knowledgable and very helpfulbut it is a long way. We could have done with slightly longer at the stops - only time to go to the toilet! The driver was very good - kind and helpful and knowledgable. Altogether a vry enjoyabe holiday

Hotel a bit dated but very clean. Food was excellent first class. Graham our driver was friendly and helpful. I think Shearings should look at the trips that they have as the one to Lyme Regis was not good at all. The coach park was at the top of a hill and not everyone could manage the walk down to the bay let alone the walk back up again. The same with Dorchester. Considering that the average age of a Shearings customer is 78 these need to be looked into. Other than that the holiday was great
