Local departure by coach or Home Connect service, then to Belgium for an overnight stay.
We continue southwards through Bavaria and into Austria, reaching Westendorf in time for dinner this evening.
Enjoy charming Westendorf. Our hotel is at the heart of this lovely town, with shops and cafés nearby. In your free time you could also take one of the local cable cars up to enjoy the views or a mountain top walk.
We visit Innsbruck, overlooked by the Karwendel Alps, where sights include the famous Golden Roof. Explore some of the city’s sights, such as Hofburg Palace, the Old Town and bustling Maria Theresien Strasse. We’ll also call at pretty Rattenberg, famous for its glass blowing heritage.
Sit back and enjoy the scenery for which the Tyrol region is renowned, as we journey along the stunning Grossglockner Pass.
Today we visit medieval Kitzbuhel, in one of Austria’s largest ski regions. This wonderful little town is surrounded by alpine scenery and has a picturesque town centre.
After a morning at leisure, join our optional excursion to the largest alpine lake in the Tyrol, Lake Achensee. Known as the ‘Fjord of the Alps’.
Achensee is a natural beauty spot, with its eye-catching water colours ranging from emerald green to ultramarine, alongside its mountain scenery, it’s easy to see why it is such a popular destination. Whilst here you can enjoy a cruise on the lake (payable locally). It is a great way to be able to relax and enjoy the scenery.
The optional excursions will be available to book during your tour.
Prices are per person and are subject to change. Payment will be in Euros (cash payments only).
We make our way to Belgium for our final overnight.
Return home.
You will stay for six nights at the Post Hotel in Westendorf, a family-run hotel in the centre of town. The hotel features a bar and a restaurant and is surrounded by a pretty terrace and garden.
Overnight stays in Belgium will be in city-style hotels.

Hotel quite excellent. Good rooms, food and service. Drivers highly competent and helpful. Beautiful countryside. The Chinese coach a disgrace - impossible to control the air conditioning which blasted out of the vents and we, like others on the trip have returned with streaming colds - we hope it is nothing worse. Others will report on the cost of the optional lake cruise which we declined. Despite all of the above we enjoyed the trip

Feeder coach and driver excellent. Changeover at stop 24 a bit vague on instruction. only received final boarding warning. Waiting for brother who's feeder coach had been delayed due to a collision on a motorway and all seemed a rush on his arrival. coach drivers did not seem too happy about our "final boarding", which seemed to create an atmosphere with them. They were vary skillful drivers throughout the tour. The Post Hotel was excellent. The coach had issues inasmuch that the air conditioning failed and the speaker system did not work.

The Holiday was lovely, but didn't think much of the Hotel Post, poor choice of menu & we couldn't even get a jug of water on the table unless we bought a alcoholic drink. Our two coach drivers Dave & John were great Guys .

Shearings was a great company to go with. My first time with them. Accommodation was excellent. The drivers were knowledgeable and the excursions good value for money. I will certainly travel with them again.
