Local departure by coach, then on to Weston-super-Mare and our hotel for four nights. We enjoy a tea, coffee or mulled wine with a festive treat on arrival to get us into the spirit of the season.
Included excursion to Bath, the largest city in Somerset and the only UK city designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Bath is famous for its Roman Baths dating back to 43AD, as well as the Royal Crescent and the Circus and many other examples of stunning architecture. Choose to visit the Jane Austen Centre and learn more about the author who loved this city, enjoy some retail therapy or simply relax in a chic bar or restaurant.
In2023, Bath Christmas Market is scheduled for 23rd November to 10th December and is an added attraction to enjoy the festive atmosphere and pick up those gifts for Christmas.
We return back to the hotel in time for our 'Christmas Dinner' complete with a complimentary glass of wine.
Enjoy a day at leisure in seaside Weston-super-Mare or join our optional excursion to nearby Street, which is home to the famous Clarks brand and an extensive shopping outlet village with a variety of brands on offer.

This morning we visit Cheddar, famous for the magnificent limestone Gorge has attracted visitors for centuries, which were formed over one million years ago during the last ice age. The village has riverside walks, quaint tearooms, and is home to the world-famous cheese and the traditional method of cheese making can still be seen at the Cheddar Gorge Cheese Company.
We then continue to Wells, whose cathedral makes this the smallest city in England!
We return to the hotel for a festive cream tea.
We depart the hotel this morning full of festive cheer and return home.

We had a lovely time, very festive. Our driver Steve was great and did everything he could to make sure we all had a good time. The hotel was good and the food was great, the thing that was shame was that most of us missed our festive cream tea as the hotel changed the day without telling us so only a handfull of people enjoyed it as they found out by accident. Everything else was great and we will go on another turkey and tinsel next year.

All three of us had a really great holiday at The Grand Atlantic. We were happy with the room, food and staff. We also had a great evening on Thursday with the singing comedian. The only downfall to the holiday was the travel there and back. We were very disappointed that our transfer coach picked up passengers at Sevenoaks, which added over an hour to our journey to the interchange.Also too many stops at service stations and for too long.

Travel was good, driver was great, friendly, helpful and funny. Communication between hotel and guests not so good. Changed Xmas Dinner day, but failed to communicate that cream tea was changed aswell. As a result we all missed the cream tea as we didn't know about it. Excursions were good especially Bath. Hotel was clean,but room quite basic. Hotel staff were lovely and food was good.
