This morning we enjoy a trip to the ancient market town of Penzance. Overlooking the majestic sweep of Mount's Bay, with St. Michael's Mount in the distance, Penzance still retains an air of pirates and smugglers in the winding, historic streets.
Art galleries, bookshops and independent boutiques abound, it is a delight to wander around the town centre and down to the pretty harbour. Maybe enjoy some traditional Cornish fayre with a pasty or some seafood before we return to the hotel for a festive cream tea.
We depart the hotel this morning full of festive cheer and return home.
