Explore stunning Devon on this delightful short break! From our base in Torquay – the premier resort of the English Riviera – we discover the elegant town of Sidmouth, which is a fine Regency town where so many of the period town houses remain intact as they were in the 19th century. Take in even more of this spectacular region with our excursions to picturesque Brixham and charming Kingswear. Why not join our optional excursions to Plymouth and Dartmoor and tick even more destinations off your list?

Local departure by coach or Home Connect service then on to Torquay for a four-night stay.
Visit Regency Sidmouth, a town set on the spectacular Jurassic Coast. Sidmouth has been a popular destination for centuries and a resort that Queen Victoria enjoyed as a child. There are many royal connections here and it is a delight to stroll along the beautiful seafront.
We continue to call at seaside Exmouth. One of the oldest and most picturesque towns in Devon, Exmouth is the gateway to the Jurassic Coast and there are two miles of sandy beaches, a bustling town centre and plenty of cafés and restaurants to enjoy.
Enjoy a day at leisure in Torquay, with free time to explore this popular UK holiday resort. Or, why not join our optional excursion crossing the wilds of Dartmoor National Park to reach maritime Plymouth?
We travel via Princetown, the highest town on the moor, as we take in the scenery and stories of this remote region, before arriving in Plymouth - Britain's Ocean City. From tales of Sir Francis Drake and the Spanish Armada, to the sailing of the Mayflower and the rebuilding of the city after World War II, there is so much history to discover in the waterfront Barbican area of the city. Alternatively, the city centre has been modernised and provides all the high street stores and popular cafés you'd expect!
The optional excursions will be available to book during your tour.
Prices are per person and are subject to change. Payment will be in sterling (cash payments only).
Life in Brixham centres around the beautiful harbour, where colourful houses overlook the heritage trawlers heading out to sea for the catch of the day. Enjoy some of the freshest seafood to be found in the country at one of the cafés and restaurants, or why not visit a fascinating art gallery?
We continue to the pretty village of Kingswear, which is nestled on the banks of the River Dart. Meander the quaint streets or perhaps take the historic foot ferry (payable locally) to Dartmouth and enjoy the beautiful views of both river banks, Dartmouth Castle and the open sea.
Return home.
You will stay for four nights at the 3-star TLH Derwent Hotel in Torquay or the 3-star Anchorage Hotel in Babbacombe which is just 2 miles from Torquay.

The holiday overall was enjoyable. I liked the outings.I liked that I could ask the driver for time to be back on the coach as I got off. Sometimes I just couldn't remember
