Local departure by coach or Home Connect service, then on to our hotel in Torquay for four nights.
Travel over gorgeous Dartmoor National Park to Plymouth, with its combination of heritage and natural beauty.
The city was an important Royal Navy port but there is ongoing waterfront regeneration, turning Plymouth into a must-visit destination, with many attractions, bars and restaurants.
Here, we enjoy a delightful harbour cruise learning more about the city's fascinating history. We'll sail across Plymouth Sound, passing Plymouth Hoe and Drake's Island as we head for the River Tamar, and pull into the Naval Dockyards where mighty warships and submarines await!
Renowned for its glorious seafront, Exmouth is Devon's oldest seaside resort and part of Devon's UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Jurassic Coast.
Here, we embark on a cruise along the stunning coast, which dates back 250 million years. Famed for the deep red colour of the cliffs, our cruise takes in the oldest section of the UNESCO World Heritage Site and will sail close enough to give you an incredibly detailed view of the rocks, before sailing further out to offer you a panoramic view of the coast in all its glory.
Explore Torquay at your own pace and discover its bustling harbour and marina, or why not join our optional excursion to the cathedral city of Exeter?
Pre-dating the arrival of the Romans, Exeter has a long and rich history reflected in its fascinating visitor attractions, which include Underground Passages, the beautiful Quayside and the magnificent Cathedral. If you’re in the mood for a spot of shopping, be sure to head to the fantastic shopping centre.
The optional excursions will be available to book during your tour.
Prices are per person and are subject to change. Payment will be in sterling (cash payments only).
Return home.
You will stay for four nights at either the Devonshire Hotel or the Abbey Lawns Hotel in Torquay.

Very smoothly operated and enjoyable coach excursions. The hotel had good sized rooms for a comfortable stay.

Excellent coach driver; humerous, informative and helpful. Hotel staff (Devonshire Hotel) were also friendly and helpful. The entertainment was good and the food was excellent.

Shearings bus drivers really do go "the extra mile" from the pick up point to drop off point. The hotel staff were very accommodating, rooms clean and entertainment good

Hotel reasonably good, pleased to have a pool to use (all to myself!) but food disappointing. Went elsewhere on last evening to get a decent meal. Cruises also a let down, was expecting more of interest to view. Enjoyed visiting various places we've never been to before. Our thanks to the driver, Terry. Kept us all informed and always pleasant and helpful.

I am a fan of Shearings and have been on breaks with them for a number of years. Torquay is beautiful The coach driver was excellent and couldn't do enough for us, his name is Terry and he is from the North East though I don't know his surname. I travelled with my granddaughter who is 21 and our disappointment was with the hotel room. The extractor in the bathroom didn't work and the floor was extremely sticky, not sure why. We reported these things nothing was done. The pool was very disappointing, should have been 3ft deep but was more like a paddling pool and didn't look very clean so we didn't use it. The food was good and the entertainment was brilliant on all 4 nights, especially Simon Reece and the Devon Dumpling (her label lol). The excursions were also good although we missed the trip on the sea down the Jurassic Coast because of a paperwork mix up but were compensated for this and another trip on the River Exe was organised in place of the original trip. The hotel needs a lot of work but it didn't spoil our holiday overall. It hasn't put me off booking again with Shearings as they always have so much to offer. Thank you.
