We travel to Paignton to board the Heritage steam train that chugs along the glorious Torbay coast over the wooded hills to Kingswear from where we take the foot ferry across to the 'yachtie town' of Dartmouth where you will see all kinds of craft on the beautiful river.
Wander around the historic town, overlooked by the famous Britannia Royal Naval College, choc-a-bloc with pretty streets and gift shops and home to a 600-year old English Heritage Castle, a delightful walk from the centre.
We return to the hotel via Totnes, a great place to explore, once a historic market town and now with a reputation for alternative therapies, small independent shops, and its promotion of ethical products, whole foods and fair trade goods.

Our destination is Exmouth to embark on a classic cruise along the staggeringly beautiful Jurassic Coast that dates back 250 million years.
The iconic sea stacks at Ladram Bay offer unrivalled photo opportunities and you will enjoy a delicious traditional Devon cream tea on board.

You will stay for four nights at a 3-star hotel in the TLH Resort Hotels Complex, built around a central covered piazza over a seven-acre site.
