My partner, parents and I went on a 5 day self drive holiday to the Windermere Hotel with Shearings and we had a fantastic time. The hotel is full of charm and character and the staff was so friendly and helpful. We had our evening meals in the Orrest Head bar which is located on the hotel grounds. They offered a good selection of meals and drinks, we couldn't fault the food or service. There was plenty of parking and you paid for the parking at the end of the holiday. The machine was straight forward to use. Hotel is in a great location, close to the train, taxi and bus station and it's a lovely walk to Bowness. Will be going again in Winter.

Clean, food ok, staff ok, handy for bus station, nice lounge, limited selection of beer, didn’t like paying a machine for parking, should have been free, hotel needs new windows our window frame was rotten with cracked glass. All in all ok typical Shearings coach holiday hotel.
