Verona is one of Italy’s most romantic cities, thanks to the fact that Shakespeare chose this city to set his romantic tragedy Romeo and Juliet.

While the couple were purely fictional, there are many attractions which claim by local legend to have once set the scene for Romeo and Juliet. For example, there’s Juliet’s House, where we’ll find the balcony Romeo is said to have serenaded his love, as well as the Basilica di San Zeno where the two were supposedly married in secret. There’s also Juliet’s tomb, which is said to be located within San Francesco al Corso church.

Aside from this, there are many other attractions to enjoy in Verona, such as the Piazza delle Erbe, which was once the site of the Roman Forum in the city, and Lamberti Tower.

Lake Garda and surrounding towns were more than stunning. We had friendly caring staff at hotel, which was beautiful. Absolutely amazing drivers in Tristan and Craig from Bluebird Coach Shearings. Our wonderful group was small which was fantastic as we got to really know each other. The holiday was everything and more than I expected! Thank you.

An amazing trip to a beautiful country. Having a small group of 16 was delightful and we all got on so well. Larger groups are not as rewarding. Tristan and Craig were professional yet fun and attentive drivers and guides. It is a trip where you are able to be independent and do you own thing or join the group for some delightful and beautiful trips. Despite being a long driver there and back the veiws are definitely worth it with plenty of rest stops along the way. I would recommend this trip for sure.

We stayed in hotel villa mulina which is in a fantastic location very close to the lake and town centre where there are loads of cafes and restaurants. Hotel was very traditional and staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Rooms are a bit old-fashioned but comfortable enough. Evening meal was chosen the day before from choice of 3 dishes, the food was ok but we did eat out a couple of times when we didn’t really fancy the menu. Lunchtime pizza around the pool was very good. Shearing coaches are not as luxurious as some other companies but comfortable enough and they have lots of comfort breaks to stretch your legs, which is needed as the journey is so long, we arrived at the hotel at 8.30pm after 2days travelling with an overnight stop. The drivers Craig and Tristan were very good. The Excursions were all excellent days out and good value for money. Everywhere we visited was beautiful and we had a good few hours at each location and we really enjoyed every one. Overall we had a fantastic holiday, and would recommend to anyone who is prepared to do the journey by coach.
