Founded in 1837, the Great Yorkshire Show is the largest agricultural event celebrating the Yorkshire region's culture, food and farming, and this wonderful break combines a visit to the show with a trip to historic Haworth! At the show, you can enjoy watching a variety of events, including livestock competitions, equine displays, sheepdog trials, sheep shearing, and live music, plus there’s even the opportunity to meet and greet local celebrities. With food stalls showcasing all types of Yorkshire produce and lots of craft stalls where you can buy handmade gifts, it is a not-to-be-missed weekend!

Regional departure by coach, the enjoy a direct journey to Yorkshire and the pretty village of Haworth, famous for its connection with the Brontë sisters.
Visiting the delightful village of Haworth is like stepping back in time! You will have free time to explore its charming streets and beautiful surroundings. Stroll through the quaint lanes and visit the Brontë Parsonage Museum to learn about the famous Brontë sisters and their literary works.
The picturesque countryside around the village is perfect for a gentle walk, or you can discover the quaint shops and abundant restaurants with traditional treats on offer. There are plenty of tearooms where you can relax with a Yorkshire brew, or traditional pubs if you wish to try the real ale. With its inviting atmosphere and rich heritage, a visit to Haworth provides an enjoyable experience that showcases the best of both history and nature.
We then travel to our hotel for a two-night stay. Enjoy dinner with fellow passengers this evening.
Today we travel to Harrogate Showground and the Great Yorkshire Show where there is so much to see and do! Held annually in Harrogate, this grand event celebrates the best of rural life, featuring a wide array of activities and attractions.
Visitors can enjoy impressive displays of livestock, including cattle, sheep, and horses, and witness thrilling equestrian events. The show also includes a variety of stalls showcasing local produce, crafts, and agricultural machinery. Watch the livestock competitions and amazing equine displays, or marvel at the sheepdog trials and sheep-shearing demonstrations. There will be a variety of live shows and exhibitions, and with food stalls showcasing all types of Yorkshire produce, you won’t be short of tempting local specialties to try.
Attending the event provides a fantastic opportunity to immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of countryside life, explore the latest in farming and agriculture, and experience the charm of traditional country fairs. Enjoy the live music, brass bands, and celebrity Q&A sessions, as well as eating the delicious food and taking advantage of the ample shopping opportunities. It’s a wonderful way to spend a day soaking up the sights and sounds of Yorkshire’s rich rural heritage.
This event is a celebration of all things agricultural, offering a joyful and engaging experience for everyone who loves the countryside.
After a jam-packed day, we return to the hotel to relax and enjoy dinner.
After a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, we depart and and enjoy our direct journey home.
You will stay for two nights at the Leonardo Hotel in Bradford.
