Starting in 2021 with just 24 stalls, this is now the largest authentic German Christmas market outside of Germany or Austria. The stalls on Victoria Square and along New Street offer something for everyone, such as hand-crafted wooden decorations, delicate glass baubles, and tempting food and drink options – no visit is complete without sampling bratwurst and Glühwein!
Enjoy a trip to nearby Stratford-upon-Avon – the birthplace of William Shakespeare. The town is brimming with Shakespearean attractions that are worth visiting, from his birthplace at the half-timbered Tudor family home in Henley Street to his grave which can be found in the grounds of Holy Trinity Church. Alternatively, you could enjoy a pleasant stroll along the banks of the River Avon, visit the shops in the town centre or relax in one of the tea rooms and watch the world go by!
We depart the hotel this morning full of festive cheer and return home.
Please note that if Christmas markets are rescheduled or cancelled, the excursions will still visit the same destinations for time at leisure.
