Local departure by coach or Home Connect service, then on to the Ship and Castle Hotel, St. Mawes for three nights.
Today we visit charming Padstow on the north Cornish coast, a delightful fishing port with a quaint fishing harbour made famous by Rick Stein’s popular television series. Why not visit Padstow Museum in your free time which houses an interesting collection of memorabilia giving an insight into the history of Padstow over the past two centuries or just watch the ebb and flow of harbour life from one of the many outdoor cafes.
Relax in St. Mawes, or join our optional excursion to Mevagissey, a picturesque fishing village with colourful old buildings and photogenic 18th century harbour. The harbour is a safe haven for the many local fishing boats that land their daily catch of skate, lobster, plaice and sole. Its harbour walls are lined with picture postcard views and its winding streets are ideal for window shopping. Why not stop at one of the many local cafes where you can try the famous Cornish Pasty.
