The holiday & Hotel were first class, the tour coach left something to be desired, on the outward journey the air conditioning wasn't working & the outside temperature was 28c whilst the inside temperature peaked at 35c. On the excursions the driver had to open the roof vents to try & cool the interior, & this then made the coach very noisy & draughty, so the travelling experience wasn't very pleasant.

The coach was bad, air con not working on a very hot day. We did not arrive at hotel until 7.30, so straight into dinner, no chance to freshen up/change out of hot sticky clothes. We did not leave Cobham services until 12.00. Our home connect mini bus got there 10.15, as did the main coach very shortly after, but long delay getting luggage switched and everybody back on board. The traffic due to A30 upgrade seemed to come as a surprise, your organisation should be aware of such things and make arrangements to cope, maybe another pick up bus to get people to Cobham earlier.

The journey from home to St Ives was not as comfortable as I had hoped. There was no air conditioning on the coach the outside temperature was 29c, the inside of our coach was 34c it was an agonisingly hot for 11.5 hours. The St Ives harbour bay hotel is tired but considering the cost of hotels in the area seems to be good value for money my bedroom was clean and the bed very comfortable. The managers at the hotel would do well to learn customer service, they treat guests like they are soldiers in an army camp, I am not joking. I had to laugh because I really couldn’t believe the way they treat the guests. Despite these gripes I would actually go on this trip again because now at least I know what to expect and be prepared for. St Ives itself is absolute perfection I could not fault one thing and have totally fallen in love with it. I can’t wait to return.
