We start the day with a visit to historic Rochester – a place so cherished by author Charles Dickens that it featured in his works more than any other city except London.
Later in the day we continue to The Historic Chatham Dockyard. Revisit the ‘Age of Sail’, learning more about the time when the dockyard built the mighty ships that reigned over the world’s oceans. We also take a Call The Midwife tour, which will take you to the various areas of this wonderful site that were used for many scenes in the popular TV series.
Relax with a day at leisure in seaside Southend. A firm favourite amongst holiday-makers, enjoy traditional seaside fun as you explore the world-famous pier with its mile long railway, or why not uncover history at one of the thriving museums, historic houses or art spaces?
Alternatively, join our optional excursion to capital London. You'll have free time to see the sights, hit the shops or perhaps visit one of the many world-class museums!

Its rich history is ripe for exploring – the Romans, the Saxons, the Normans and the Victorians have all left their mark here and the award-winning Colchester Castle Museum (entry not included) is an absolute must-see.
We continue to call at Clacton-on-Sea, another popular seaside resort on England’s Sunshine Coast.
