Local departure by coach or Home Connect service then on to the St. Albans area for a four-night stay.
Once the top-secret home of the World War II Codebreakers, Bletchley Park is now a wonderful heritage attraction that gives us a glimpse into 1940s Britain and the efforts of the Home Front. Step back in time and experience the fascinating stories of the men and women that worked here and how their work was vital to the Allied victory.
We also call at the historic town of St. Albans, which is filled with incredible history, first-class shopping opportunities and a wonderful food and drink scene.
Famous as the wartime bunker for Whitehall, the Churchill War Rooms sheltered the nerve centre of the British Government during the Second World War. These basement offices were transformed and occupied by leading Government ministers, military strategists and Winston Churchill himself, and were in use 24 hours a day until August of 1945.
The remainder of the day will be at leisure to explore London as you choose – perhaps visit the Imperial War Museum to learn more about the nation’s wartime history, or simply see the sights and hit the shops!
Blenheim Palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with over 300 years of history. Situated in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside, it is one of England’s largest houses and boasts stunning architecture. Arguably, it is most famous as being the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill, England’s Prime Minster between 1940-1945 and 1951-1955. There are exhibitions here dedicated to one of our greatest leaders and the work he did during the war.
We also call at the university city of Oxford, where the skyline is full of the dreaming spires, domed rooves and college gargoyles. The ancient university is a focal point of the city, and you'll find a warren of old market streets, flanked by interesting shops around the centre.
Return home.
You will stay for four nights at the 3-star Aubrey Park Hotel near St. Albans.

The trip was well organised and our driver was first class. Our only downside was that the visit to Blenheim Palace only lasted for 2.5 hours before we were taken to Oxford for 3 hours. It would be far better to allocate a whike day for Blenheim Palace - in my view.
