Join us on our included excursion this morning on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway from Pickering on this heritage steam railway, taking in the stunning scenery. We depart at Goathland, nestled in the heart of the North York Moors. Famous for its role in the TV series Heartbeat, and more recently as 'Hogsmeade' in the Harry Potter films, Goathland is a cherished spot that captures the imagination.
Our coach then collects us for an afternoon in Whitby. This charming seaside town, known for its connections to Dracula, has a picturesque town centre and popular harbour, which is dominated by the striking ruins of its historic abbey. The town's unique streets are filled with delightful shops and cafés, where you might find a special piece of Whitby Jet as a souvenir.
We return to Scarborough in the late afternoon and enjoy dinner at the hotel.
After a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, we depart and and enjoy our direct journey home.
