Today we will visit Salzburg and get to know the Mozart City during a walk through the centre, where you will hear a lot about the city's history, Mozart and other famous personalities. In the old town you can enjoy the atmosphere of the Salzburg Advent markets and, in addition to the classic sights, learn a lot about typical Salzburg Christmas customs and traditions that have existed for centuries. In the afternoon, when darkness falls over the city and the lights cast a Christmassy glow, visit the city's romantic Christmas markets.
Today you will visit the wonderful Salzkammergut! From St. Gilgen, take the boat across Lake Wolfgang to the romantic village of St. Wolfgang. Continue to the imperial city of Bad Ischl, which you can explore at your leisure – don't forget to try the Zaunerstollen, a delicious dessert from Bad Ischl.
After an early dinner at your hotel, head to Oberndorf to the Silent Night Chapel, where the famous Christmas carol was first sung in 1818. A short walk brings you to the nearby Stadthalle, where you can let the bright sounds of the Vienna Boys' Choir put you in the mood for Christmas!
Immerse yourself in the magical winter world of Gmunden and experience the Advent season in the town at Lake Traunsee. Look forward to the most beautiful time of the year with twinkling stars and glowing candles, and enjoy the scent of freshly baked cookies and roasted apples. After a stroll through the little, romantic roads of Gmunden visit the famous Gmundner ceramic factory! Afterwards be part of a guided tour at a brewery, where you will learn interesting facts about beer and the brewing trade. Enjoy a beer tasting of the multiple award-winning beers.
We depart our hotel this morning and travel to our overnight hotel in Begium.
