Selected rooms at the hotel are dog-friendly. There is a maximum of 2 dogs per room at a charge of £12 per night per dog, and this should be added to your booking before travel. The majority of hotels do not allow dogs to join you in the restaurant, bar or public areas of the hotel, with the exception of assistance dogs. If you have an allergy to dogs, unfortunately we cannot guarantee that any rooms are completely dog-free.

The hotel was clean and staff were courteous. On arrival the manager asked for our payment for the dogs, although we had paid yourselves previously, luckily I had my paper work with this proof. The photo attached is of a piece of pasta dropped by a very young child, on our 2nd day. It was still there on our departure day. We did see one lady hover the bar area during our time- once! The manager told me the day before we were leaving, that we couldn't leave my disabled mams scooter in the lounge, and couldn't believe his staff hadn't informed me, we'd left it in clear sight up until this point. His reason for not leaving it there, although there were othere walking aids visible, was " in case three is a flood!!". We will not be booking via shearings again, and not visiting this hotel. The self drive was way over priced, and I shall not be recommending your company to anyone. Thank you.

The room was slightly below expectations, however the towels were excellent. The food was well below what we have experienced at other Shearlings holidays.

My husband and I really enjoyed our 5 days` short holiday very much at the Royal hotel in Weymouth - the weather, no doubt, helped as we enjoyed nice hot sunshine with a lovely sea breeze throughout our stay! Our 2 single adjacent rooms were pleasantly decorated- the beds comfortable and the `Grohe` showers worked well and the tasty food and friendly service throughout were very much appreciated- hence very happy customers- thank you!
