Flight of Legends: RAF Cosford Airshow

Birmingham is often referred to as Britain’s second city, and with so much on offer it’s easy to understand why. Enjoy a stroll through the Birmingham Botanical Gardens with its colourful flowers and tranquil ponds, or appreciate the fine art of the city in the creative Digbeth and Southside areas. There’s opportunity to stroll around the canals and enjoy some al fresco dining in Brindleyplace, or for those interested in history, the Jewellery Quarter reveals the city’s rich heritage in jewellery making.

Whilst you’re here, why not experience one of the famous Balti houses or see the city from a unique perspective with a scenic canal cruise? Today we head to RAF Cosford for the annual airshow event. The RAF Cosford Airshow is the only remaining RAF-organised airshow in the country, showcasing flying displays from a variety of aircrafts, including the Red Arrows. It boasts the best of aviation, featuring a wide range of aircraft from both past and present.

Held at the RAF Cosford Airfield, this show includes impressive displays from military jets, historic planes, and aerobatic teams, offering a spectacular visual feast. Attendees can enjoy watching skilled pilots perform daring manoeuvres and hear the powerful roar of the engines. The event also includes static aircraft displays, where you can get an close-up view of these amazing machines, and explore various aviation-themed stalls and exhibits. Attending the RAF Cosford Airshow is a wonderful way to experience the excitement of live air displays, learn about aviation history, and enjoy a day out in the fresh air.
