Spend the afternoon exploring this pretty seaside town at leisure. A visit to this delightful coastal resort offers a wonderful blend of relaxation and enjoyment. Stroll along the sandy beaches and take in the fresh sea air, or enjoy a gentle walk along the picturesque seafront. The charming pier boasts traditional amusements and lovely views of the coast.
For local history, discover the fascinating Paignton Harbour and its interesting market. The town's friendly cafés and shops are perfect for a leisurely afternoon, where you can enjoy a warm drink and some delicious treats.
Today, we will discover the beauty of the English Riviera on our planned outing. Our first stop is the historic port city of Plymouth, often called Britain’s 'Ocean City'. Here, we take a relaxing one-hour cruise across the Plymouth Sound, where you can soak up the views of the Plymouth Hoe and Drake's Island.
In the afternoon, we will head to Torquay, the gem of the English Riviera. Its lovely seafront, stylish marina, and sandy beaches make it a wonderful place to explore, with palm trees lining the delightful promenade where you will find plenty of shops and restaurants. Why not treat yourself to a Devonshire cream tea while you enjoy the lively atmosphere around the harbour?
We return to Paignton for an evening dinner.
After a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, we depart and and enjoy our direct journey home.
