Our included excursion takes us along the North Devon Coast, firstly to the charming twin resorts of Lynton and Lynmouth, spectacularly situated on the northern edge of the Exmoor National Park and linked by a cliff railway.
We continue to Dunster, an old medieval village, which retains much of its original character and is dominated by its romantic Norman castle, steeped in legend and history.
It’s time to take a road trip along the Cornish Atlantic Highway, a small coastal road that winds between rolling hills, barley fields and rugged wild beaches.
We’ll spend some time in the charming National Trust village of Boscastle, rich in history and inspiration for countless authors and artists who have been bewitched by its picturesque harbour and iconic thatched and whitewashed villages.
Today we include an excursion to RHS Garden Rosemoor. Nestling in the beautiful Torridge Valley, these enchanting gardens provide the perfect contrast to the bustling North Devon coats. Surrounded by rolling woodland, the garden are rich in variety, whatever the season. Main features include the largest rose garden in the South West, the Hot Garden and award winning Cool Garden. See the Fruit & Vegetable Garden and the Exotic Garden, plus many more horticultural delights.
Later, we enjoy some free time in the historic resort of Bideford, situated on the banks of the River Torridge. Wander around this historic part and explore the quays lined with a fascinating array of unusual shops and delightful cafes.

Spend a day at leisure in Barnstaple.
This bustling market town plays host to a myriad of attractive alleyways lined with craft stores and art stores. Famous for its Pannier Market, which is great to browse for that perfect souvenir or antique.
Today we’ll spend a peaceful relaxing morning aboard one of the last horse drawn barges in England gliding along the Great Western Canal.
You’ll enjoy views of the beautiful Devon countryside, listening to the gentle ripple of water and the sound of horse's hooves as they clip clop along the purpose built 'towing path'.
In the afternoon, there is time to explore Tiverton, a town full of charm with it’s Grade 1 Listed Church of St Peter, visit an interesting Museum of Mid Devon life and experience atmospheric remains of a medieval castle, originally built in 1106 and now home to beautiful walled gardens within the romantic ruins.
Return home.
