Located on the rugged Exmoor coastline, the unspoilt village of Lynton is an idyllic holiday destination. Lynton is 500 ft above Lynmouth and the two towns are connected by the Lynton & Lynmouth Cliff Railway. The railway is a ‘must see and do’ offering wonderful views over the bay. Lynton offers excellent independent shops and an impressive town hall.

Local departure by coach or Home Connect service, then on to the Valley of the Rocks Hotel, Lynton for three nights.
Scenic drive into Exmoor National Park, calling at the historic village of Dunster. Steeped in medieval history and home to over 200 listed buildings, including the National Trust’s Dunster Castle, an 11-century castle, and the Old Yarn Market, located in the middle the High Street. This market was once a hub for the Exmoor wool trade.
We also call at the fascinating seaside town of Watchet. Highly valued by Alfred the Great it has a rich maritime history and boasts a 150 years old lighthouse.
Relax in Lynton, or join our optional excursion to Barnstaple. One of the largest and oldest towns in North Devon it is full of pretty alleyways and courtyards. Be sure to visit the Victorian style Pannier Market, with its traditional atmosphere and unique Butcher’s Row. The remnants of the Norman castle can also still be viewed.
