Take in the scenery of stunning Snowdonia National Park on this short break by coach to the traditional seaside town of Llandudno. Stroll along the Victorian promenade which dominates the seafront, or browse the amusements which are dotted along the iconic pier. Regional departure by coach, then enjoy a direct journey to Llandudno for a two-night stay. You will have the afternoon to explore the resort at leisure.
A visit to Llandudno offers the perfect seaside escape with plenty to see and do. The town is known for its sweeping Victorian promenade, ideal for a leisurely walk with views of the sea. You can take a tram ride up the Great Orme, where stunning panoramic views await at the summit. On a clear day, it’s possible to see as far as the Isle of Man, Blackpool and the Lake District!
The Grade-II listed pier, with its traditional charm, is perfect for a peaceful stroll, and you’ll find plenty of benches to sit and watch the waves. The town also has a range of shops and cosy spots to enjoy a meal, making it a lovely place to explore at your own pace.
Today’s excursion takes us to the breathtaking Snowdonia National Park, the largest in Wales. A highlight of the day is the journey on the Snowdon Mountain Railway, which has been carrying visitors to the summit of Mount Snowdon for over a century. From Llanberis station, you’ll board the train for a truly memorable trip, so have your camera ready for the views.
We’ll also visit the charming village of Betws-y-Coed, nestled in the heart of the park and surrounded by lush woodlands. Near the railway station, you’ll find a museum with a miniature railway, as well as shops, cafés, and restaurants to explore. The 14th-century St Michael’s Church, one of the oldest in Wales, is well worth a visit.
We return to Llandudno where you can enjoy dinner and make the most of the Victorian promenade with an after-dinner stroll.
After a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, we depart and and enjoy our direct journey home.
You will stay for two nights at the Chatsworth Hotel or Baytree Hotel in Llandudno.
