Local departure by coach or Home Connect service, then continue to the South Coast, typically the Southampton area, where we stay overnight.
This morning we are transferred to the port where we board the ferry as foot passengers to cross to Jersey. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel for the next five nights.
After breakfast today we include a tour of the island. Let our experienced local driver guide you around our stunning coastline whilst you enjoy an entertaining informative live commentary on Jersey’s unique atmosphere and rich history. See Jersey’s incredible landscape, ranging from vast expanses of golden sand to breathtaking cliffs, in a day. Stops include Noirmont Point, St. Brelade’s Bay, Corbière Lighthouse and St. Ouen’s Bay.
The rest of the time is free to enjoy and explore the island. Why not stroll through the pedestrianised shopping area of St. Helier which is only a few minutes’ walk from the hotel or relax on the beach. Our local representative will offer various optional excursions if you wish to explore the island further.
Why not visit La Hougue Bie, the most spectacular prehistoric monument in the Channel Islands. The 40-foot mound, which is topped by a medieval chapel, houses a Neolithic passage grave built around 3,000 BC. There is an introductory film, a film showing the building of the reproduction Long House, an archeology museum and a display of artifacts from the world's largest Celtic coin discovery made in 2012 as well as a German Command Centre, now a memorial to the Island's forced workers during World War II.
Or why not visit stunning Gorey and Mont Orgueil Castle and explore the pretty village & harbour or visit the Jersey War Tunnels which offers a fascinating insight into the occupation of the island in WWII.
There is so much to see and do on the island!
with an extra experience
We wave Jersey farewell and take the ferry back to Poole where we continue to our overnight hotel on the South Coast.
The number of nights on Jersey is dependent on the ferry sailing schedules. If there is a change to the sailing schedule, we will contact you in advance to advise. Depending on ferry sailing times, meals may be on the ferry rather than at the hotel.
You will stay for five nights at the 3-star Hotel De Normandie in St. Saviour.
Overnight stays will be near the South Coast, such as Southampton or similar, and will be in a comfortable hotel.
Location: Havre De Pas St. Saviour, Jersey, JE2 7PD
Hotel De Normandie is located opposite the beautiful Bay of St Clement with fantastic access to the sea front. Bright and airy bedrooms each have a flat-screen TV and tea and coffee making facilities. The hotel also offers a modern restaurant, comfortable bar and lounge and indoor swimming pool. Hotel was good. More support from the office needed on homeward journey as we were delayed at Tibshelf by an hour due to taxi not being there for drop-offs. Overall, we enjoyed the holiday.

A very enjoyable trip and hotel location. Easy to get the bus into St Helier. Nice selection of buffet food for breakfast and dinner. Travel time by ferry shortened by taking the catamaran. The only downside was that the stopover the night before catching the ferry in Poole was on the outskirts of Southampton which meant an extremely early start to that day as Poole was over an hour away. There were other hotels nearer to Poole we felt could have been used
