Alnwick Castle is the second largest inhabited castle in the UK. Dating back to the Norman period, the castle has served as a border fortress, a teaching college, a place of refuge, a film and TV set, as well as family home!

Local departure by coach or Home Connect service, then on to the George Hotel, Chollerford for four nights.
Trip to Alnwick – once the administrative town for the whole of Northumberland. Here we visit the majestic castle; once an important fort and more recently used as one of the settings for the Harry Potter films.
Please note that a visit to Bamburgh Castle and the town of Alnwick will replace Alnwick Castle on the following departures: 14 March 2022, 21 March 2022 & 31 October 2022.
