Weston-super-Mare is a seaside resort on the North Somerset Coast, steeped in Victorian history and dominated by long stretches of sandy beaches. It’s not hard to see why this is one of Britain’s most-loved holiday resorts, boasting a superb seafront, a magnificent Grand Pier and seaside attractions aplenty. For a touch of culture and history, visitors can browse the many museums and galleries, whilst nature lovers won’t want to miss the beautiful greenery of the town’s parks and gardens. Heading further afield, Burham-on-Sea and Clevedon – home to the only Grade 1 listed pier in England – are popular coastal towns, whilst the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Bath and cosmopolitan Bristol are within driving distance. Spectacular Cheddar Gorge is also a must when in the area, with its towering cliffs and ancient caverns.
