Later in the day we explore Torquay, the English Riviera’s premier resort and home to beautiful coastal scenery and traditional seaside attractions.
Enjoy a day at leisure in seaside Exmouth, where you can enjoy the glorious stretch of golden beaches, explore the bustling town centre, or perhaps enjoy a stroll along part of the South West Coast Path, which follows the coast straight through Exmouth.
Alternatively, why not join our optional excursion to Sidmouth and Seaton? Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, enjoy the golden beaches and panoramic sea-views of Seaton before we call at Regency Sidmouth. Sidmouth has been a favourite holiday destination since Victorian times and Queen Victoria as a child holidayed here enjoying the sun and charm of this lovely location.

Trip to the historic city of Exeter, where the skyline is dominated by the unique Norman twin towers of the majestic cathedral.
Pre-dating the arrival of the Romans, Exeter's history is rich and long – explore the Underground Passages, join a free Red Coat Guided Tour or admire the beautiful Quayside. You will find a diverse mix of eateries and the city is renowned as one of the foodie capitals of the South West. There are also plenty of independent shops and boutiques to be found in the West Quarter and on the cobbled Gandy Street.
Return home.

The Imperial Hotel was excellent with lovely food and a cosy bar. Our sea view room had patio doors leading to a balcony with a small table and chairs, with views of the garden and the sea. The excursions were interesting and would have been even better if it hadn't rained incessantly.
