I have already completed and returned a Shearings Welcome Back survey. Our coach to Melrose (I thought we would stay in Edinburgh!) was very poor and uncomfortable. It was extremely hot as the AC was not working. properly. The windscreen had a massive crack on it,the onboard clock showed the wrong time and in the hotel restaurant we received our ordered drinks when we were nearly finished the main course. When complained was advised to either ask for a jug of water or to collect our drinks from the bar ourselves! When our coach drove us to The Royal Yacht Britannia one day and Edinburgh another left completely to our own devices and often advised to return to the coach in around 5 hours. This trip was definitely not worth the cost.

The tour was excellent and most enjoyable. Our only criticism was the hotel’s location. The hotel itself was fine but as both included tours were to Edinburgh surely a location nearer to the capital would be more appropriate. I accept That big city hotel rates would make the tour too expensive but an hotel in a small town closer to the city with a few shops and the odd pub would have been a better fit. Still a great short break. Well-organised and great value for money. Thanks Shearings!

I enjoyed it and Robbin the coach driver was excellent. The Waverley was a bit tired in parts but it was clean and the staff were very nice and helpful. I would visit again.
