Local departure by coach or Home Connect service then on to Eastbourne for a four-night stay.
Visit bustling Brighton, a popular seaside resort offering a wonderful mix of Regency heritage and specialist shops.
From Brighton, we continue on to visit the medieval town of Lewes. The medieval streets, old English churches and tiny twittens (an old Sussex word for alleyway) allow visitors a glimpse into the true essence of bygone Lewes. The townscape is dominated by the remains of a Norman Castle, and you'll also find the town house of Anne of Cleves here.
Enjoy a day at leisure in Eastbourne – home to pristine beaches, a Victorian Pier and cosmopolitan marina.
Alternatively, join our optional excursion passing the awe-inspiring cliffs of Beachy Head to reach Alfriston. Located on the banks of the Cuckmere River at the foot of the South Downs, explore the medieval twisting High Street, popular independent shops and friendly pubs and teashops!

Our excursion today takes us to historic Battle Abbey, which is built on the site of one of the most historic battles in England’s history – the Battle of Hastings.
Stand on the very spot where this decisive struggle was fought, see the Harold Stone, explore the Gatehouse Exhibition which reveals the Abbey’s role in the country’s future and admire the stunning views of the battlefield.
Later in the day we continue to seaside Hastings – one of the old Cinque Ports where the remains of William the Conqueror’s first English castle still stands.
Return home.
