Regional departure by coach or Home Connect service, then to Holyhead for the ferry to Ireland, and onward to Mullingar for a five-night stay.

Included excursion to Carrick-on-Shannon, situated on the shores of the River Shannon. A walk through the town brings to life the historic past, in particular the Costello Chapel which is believed to be the smallest in Europe. Known as the 'marina capital of Ireland', the marina is a focal point of the town, and there are a whole host of restaurants, cafes and shops to explore.

Enjoy a true taste of Ireland on our included visit to The Kilbeggan Distillery Experience, Ireland’s oldest distillery. By way of contrast, a visit will then be made to a remote spot by the River Shannon to see the ancient ruins of the 6th century Clonmacnoise Monastery, one of Ireland’s most important monastic sites.

The tour is a panoramic one, seeing beautiful buildings of significance like Trinity College, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, The National Art Gallery and the Four Courts. Dublin is a beautiful Georgian city and highlights will be the magnificence of Georgian Dublin with visits to some of the superb squares. Dublin is also home to the Guinness Storehouse should you wish to pay homage to Dublin’s most famous drink and see a panorama of Dublin from its glassed Gravity Bar.
