Local departure by coach or Home Connect service, then on to Cricket St. Thomas in Somerset for a four-night stay.
Today we explore part of the awesome Jurassic Coast, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and England's only natural World Heritage Site. Stretching 95 miles from Exmouth to Old Harry Rocks near Swanage, the coastline here is valued for its outstanding rocks, fossils and landforms.
We stop at popular points of interest including pretty Seaton, Regency Sidmouth and stunning Lyme Regis, a favourite resort of the author Jane Austen.
Visit historic Dorchester, the country town of Dorset and still very much the ‘Casterbridge’ of Thomas Hardy’s novels.
Dorset's county town, Dorchester enjoys a rich history, dating back as far as the Iron Age. There's a variety of museums to discover, alongside the well-known high street shops and independent boutiques and it is a delight to explore the central pedestrianised centre and historic Antelope Walk arcade.
Enjoy an included trip to Glastonbury - this town has a mystical reputation and connections to King Arthur and there are plenty of interesting shops and cafés to browse.
Later in the day we'll return to Cricket St. Thomas where the rest of the day will be free for you to perhaps take a stroll through the landscaped gardens or enjoy the whole host of leisure activities on offer at Warner Leisure Hotels - why not try something new*?
Return home.

This Warners is on a wonderful site, beautiful surroundings, 160 acres of grounds and gardens. Lots of history, lots of very old trees, all beautifully kept by just 4 gardeners. Warners itself, good food, varied menu, lovely staff, very good entertainment.

At Lymm services, we discovered that our main coach had failed air conditioning. As the driver had reported the fault the previous week, that coach should not have been used. We had to wait 2.5 hours for a replacement to arrive at Sandbach services. The hotel room was comfortable, but a long walk to the dining room. Housekeeping left a little to be desired - debris in corridors for days. A couple of places we visited on the tour were not good - Seaton was mainly boarded up buildings, Bridport uninteresting. Overall, enjoyed the break

We were very disappointed with our holiday. Due to difficulties with transport we arrives at the hotel four hrs late just in time for dinner we had been travelling since 9am and arrived at 7.15. During our stay trip intinaries were constantly changed and we unnecessary stop every day. The final straw was when two day into the holiday our evening meal was changed to a much earlier time than we had originally been told. Not good enough Shearings. All changes down to Shearings lack of organisation.
