Enjoy a day at leisure to relax and admire the scenic views from the hotel, or why not make your own way into the heart of Fort William? This is the largest town in the Highlands and is known as the 'Outdoor Capital of the UK' as it surrounded by beautiful scenery and walks.
You may prefer to join our optional excursion to Oban. Following the Argyll Coastal Route we reach the seafaring town and enjoy some free time in the 'Gateway to the Isles'. There are plenty of small galleries and independent shops to browse, as well as cosy cafés and pubs to enjoy. Oban is renowned for its fresh seafood so why not take the opportunity to sample the catch of the day.
with an extra experience
From Fort William we take the 'Road to the Isles', a route steeped in history, passing forests, beaches and moors topped with purple heather. We reach the thriving fishing port of Mallaig, a bustling and thriving working port.
Here we take to the waters, which are frequently visited by a variety of birds, seals, porpoises, dolphins, whales and basking sharks. With the Isles of Skye, Rhum and Eigg in the distance, the scenery on this cruise is truly breathtaking.
We return to Fort William making a stop at the Glenfinnan Visitor Centre. The monument is a tribute to those who died fighting for the Jacobite cause, framed by dramatic Highland scenery, and the famous Glenfinnan Viaduct that offers spectacular views.
Return home.
You will stay for four nights either at the 3-star Caledonian Hotel near Fort William or 3 star Onich Hotel on the shores of Loch Linnhe

A holiday full of great places to visit. The hotel had good food and our room was clean with a beautiful view over the loch. Our young female driver did especially well on her first trip to the Highlands.
