My stay in the Cote d,Azur and Menton I enjoyed staying in Menton such a pretty town with very nice shops and places of interest. The journey to Menten was however fraught with overwrought passengers as it was extremely long and air-conditioning was not working properly. When we did arrive at the hotel for the first night it was just before 10:pm and passengers had missed dinner and where glad to get to their rooms, why we had to go through the long and tedious travel through parts of the outskirts of Paris with very heavy traffic to get to our hotel on the first night was tiring and also delayed us from getting to the hotel at a reasonable time to have dinner which we were very much in need off. The outings were great bar one to Ventmiglia which was a waste of time as there was nothing there, spent most of our time buying coffee and tea in 2 different cafes waiting for the coach to return at the arranged time. the other trips out on the tour where amazing especially to Monte Carlo and wonderful Monaco. The hotel though in Menton had a nice room but the food was terrible and most nights unable to eat it was tasteless full of water, bland with no seasoning or salsa and appeared very unappetizing and looked like it had come out of a tin. One of the best parts of the journey was the wonderful crew/drivers whom were so accommodating and helpful and apologetic if everything was not running to schedule. I could not praise Chris and Mel highly enough wonderful guys, would love to travel with them again on a future destination. Overall, felt that some of the trip ie food at hotel wasn.t worth the money I paid, felt that I should have only paid for the 2 main outings to Monte Carlo, Monaco, Cannes and Nice which were really nice. The trip could have been shorter with less days going to the other places for say 5 -7 days only. Will think again about taking a long journey again and maybe keeping it shorter next time.

Great trip by Shearings to Menton. Our coach drivers Chris and Mel were outstanding and always on hand for any queries etc. Also, my daughter and I met some really nice, interesting people on coach. The journey itself is quite long, overnight stop in France, then onward to destination, so not for the faint hearted! Hotel in Menton really nice and positioned close to centre, bars, restaurants, beach etc. Had large, double, quiet, spacious room on 4th floor with large balcony and views of mountains (loved the coffee machine). I had emailed hotel beforehand to request this after reading reviews on TripAdvisor and they responded within one day to confirm. All staff were friendly and polite. The only downside was perhaps the quality of evening meals, which at times were poor, breakfast was good. Roof bar terrace fantastic. Excursions included in trip were well organised and enjoyable. It was great to see so many places of interest, which was one of the reasons for booking.

My husband and I were looking forward to this holiday but could not enjoy it as the coach ‘s air conditioning was not working we travelled for hours in unbearable heat. One of our fellow travellers decided to fly back to England rather than face the journey back in the coach.
