Today we visit the picturesque market town of Keswick. Overlooked by the dramatic Skiddaw range in the north and the expansive Derwentwater in the south the town enjoys an idyllic location in the north of the Lake District.
We then visit pretty Grasmere before returning to the hotel.
Merry Christmas! Enjoy breakfast and then perhaps open some presents or take a stroll in the hotel surroundings before enjoying a glass of kir royal before a traditional Christmas Day lunch. There'll be the chance to watch the King's Speech.
We depart the hotel this morning, filled with magical Christmas memories, and return home.
