Today we take a scenic drive through the glorious Peak District, calling at Matlock Bath, set in the beautiful gorge of the River Derwent, before looping back to charming village called Eyam (pronounced 'Eem'). It is known as the 'Plague Village' as it has a unique story associated with the Black Death in 1665, which you can learn about at the museum in the town. Its dark history aside, it is a very pretty village with a craft centre, sculpture garden and market hall.
