Local departure by coach or Home Connect service, then on to Heythrop Park in Oxfordshire for a four-night stay.
Enjoy a potter around the Cotswolds as we take in some of its prettiest villages. Moreton-in-Marsh is our first stop – a thriving market town whose high street is lined with elegant 17th and 18th-century buildings.
We continue to Stow-on-the-Wold, the highest of the Cotswolds' towns and historically an important trading centre where the quaint Market Square is flanked by town houses, independent shops, antique centres, and cosy cafés.
We return to Chipping Norton for some free time to explore.
This morning, we head to Stratford-upon-Avon – best known as Shakespeare's birthplace. For those who admire the bard, there are endless museums and attractions dedicated to his life and work. Alternatively, why not browse the quaint shops and cafés or stroll down the delightful River Avon?
This afternoon, we return to Heythrop Park for time at leisure to make the most of the facilities. With everything from dance and fitness classes to archery and rifle shooting, there are plenty of activities to keep you busy. The hotel also boasts a 19-hole golf course, pool, sauna and gym.
We head to the interesting university city of Oxford, home to honey-coloured colleges and many famous spires, giving it the affectionate nickname ‘City of Dreaming Spires’. The medieval metropolis revolves around the prestigious university, which dates all the way back to the 12th century. Whether you’re a fan of literature and learning or pubs and shops, Oxford is a delight to explore.
