After breakfast, we visit the gem of Cornwall, St Ives, with its famous beaches and pretty cobbled streets that lead to the picture-postcard harbour – it's no wonder why this seaside town is one of the most visited in the region.
We also call at the ancient market town of Penzance, famous for its pirates – or at the least the singing variety! Penzance is also known for its historic port and the fantastic Wharfside Shopping Centre, which is home to both well-known brands and local specialists.
We finish the day with a visit to Healeys Cyder Farm, where you can purchase various Cornish produce from its famous farm shop and also enjoy a traditional Cornish cream tea!
Today we enjoy a morning visit to Falmouth. The town has been shaped by the sea, and therefore has a fascinating maritime history. It is within easy walking distance of the hotel and is perfect for exploring. We’ll visit the remarkable National Maritime Museum, allowing you to immerse yourself in the history of Cornwall's past and discover the many exhibitions, as well as enjoy magnificent views of the main harbour.
With the rest of the morning free to explore at your own pace, why not browse the bustling shops or indulge in one of the plentiful tea rooms? When you return to the hotel, relax and soak up the sea views from the terrace lounge or take the opportunity to explore Newquay further.
Today we visit the Cornish town of Padstow. A picturesque fishing port set amidst stunning beaches, it has become a must-visit foodie destination, thanks in large to Rick Stein. This charming town, part of the ancient pilgrim route known as the Saints’ Way, has a pretty working harbour that may have been in use as far back as 2,500 BC. We enjoy a traditional fish and chips lunch in Rick Stein's restaurant.
After lunch we visit Port Isaac, made famous by the TV series Doc Martin. This historic harbour village is home to whitewashed cottages, narrow streets and a pier. Enjoy a leisurely afternoon exploring before we head back to Newquay.
After breakfast, we journey home.
