Local departure by coach or Home Connect service then on to Bournemouth for a seven-night stay.
Today we visit Weymouth, a vibrant seaside resort in Dorset with beautiful golden beaches and a rich history. Take a stroll around the colourful harbour which is filled with luxury yachts, fishing trawlers and tall ships. You might even be lucky enough to see the opening of Weymouth Town Bridge! There are plenty of shops and beachfront cafés to sit and watch the world go by.
In the afternoon, we will make a stop at Portland Bill. This narrow promontory lies at the southern end of the Isle of Portland, and the southernmost point of Dorset. One of Portland's most popular destinations is Portland Bill Lighthouse, and you will have a photo opportunity to view this stunning coastline.
Enjoy a day to relax in delightful Bournemouth or join our optional excursion to Blandford Forum, the most complete, small Georgian town in England.
Surrounding the attractive market place is a variety of independent shops and boutiques, cafés, restaurants and pubs. For a local tipple, pay a visit to the Hall and Woodhouse Brewery and shop for bottles of the famous Badger Beer. There are also a number of indoor and outdoor markets in the town throughout the week.

A delightful day awaits with a chance to experience Dorset by rail and sail. Enjoy a relaxing cruise around the eastern tip of the Jurassic Coast with guided commentary as we sail into the pretty town of Swanage. From here, we will board the Swanage Steam Railway and soak up the scenery in this unique form of transport. You will have some free time to explore Poole and its harbour before we return back to the hotel.
Enjoy a day at leisure in Bournemouth today. Take a stroll along the beachfront, indulge in an ice cream or explore the pier. Discover the Grade II-listed gardens or jump on the land train to take a ride along the promenade – the choice is yours!
Enjoy another day in lovely Bournemouth today, or join our optional excursion to visit historic Salisbury. We will travel via the New Forest to visit this medieval city, famous for its majestic cathedral which houses the best preserved of the four original Magna Carta manuscripts dating from 1215 AD. The charming streets around the cathedral are filled with cafés and unique shops just waiting to be explored.

We call at Dorchester, Dorset’s county town and the birthplace of Thomas Hardy. After some free time, we continue to Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens – a splendid garden filled with rare and exotic plants from all over the world. The Sunken Garden and nature trail are worth exploring, or you can enjoy a cup of tea in the colonial-style teahouse.
Return home.
