with an extra experience
We start the day with a visit to Bury Market, voted the best market in Britain! Right in the heart of the town and attracting locals and visitors alike, you'll find over 370 stalls here, packed with independent traders selling everything from fashion and footwear to, of course, Black Puddings!
Later in the day, we take to the tracks of the East Lancashire Railway for a stunning journey through the beautiful scenery of the West Pennines. With a fascinating history, stretching back to the beginning of the industrial revolution, the East Lancashire Railway has been carrying passengers and goods around the region for almost 200 years.
We round the day off calling in at popular Oswaldtwistle Mills, where we enjoy tea and cake before returning to Blackpool.
Excursion to the beautiful Lake District, England's newest UNESCO World Heritage Site. We visit Bowness-on-Windermere on the shores of Windermere, one of the most popular destinations in the region, packed with quaint shops and cafés.
We enjoy a cruise on Lake Windermere from Bowness to Waterhead Pier near bustling Ambleside, at the head of the Lake. Waterhead Pier dates back to 1845, and from here we will make our way to Ambleside where there will be some free time to explore.
