Taking over the Vrijthof Square in the centre of Maastricht, the open-air concert is guaranteed to leave you speechless, with special guests and some of the best waltzes and classical music. Maastricht is André Rieu’s hometown, and the only city in the world where he performs open-air concerts every single year – the summer performances are the ultimate experience for his fans. Prior to the concert, we’ll explore the charming city of Maastricht and enjoy a live cooking dinner buffet with included drinks at the Van der Valk Maastricht. We also include a visit to the wonderful city of Cologne where the cathedral dominates the skyline.

Local departure by coach, then travel to our hotel in Germany.
Our day begins with a discovery of beautiful Maastricht. Explore the charming old city centre, wander the Stokstraat Quarter, and take in remarkable sights such as the Basilica of Our Lady and the Ramparts.
This evening, prior to the concert, we're treated to a live cooking buffet dinner with included drinks at the Van der Valk Maastricht. Enjoy a cup of the homemade soup of the day before a large starter buffet with various salads and cold fish and meat dishes. For your main course, there is a wide choice of wok, fish, meat and pizza dishes, and you finish your meal dining with a delicious dessert buffet featuring a Venetian ice cream bar. Drinks options include beer, house wine, soft drinks, coffee, tea and water.
Afterwards, we take our seat for the highlight of our tour – the André Rieu concert. From romantic, emotional ballads to celebrated waltzes, expect to be taken on a musical journey like no other as André captivates the crowd with his charismatic presence.
Today we travel to the majestic city of Cologne on our included excursion. Cologne’s history traces back more than 2,000 years when it was founded as a Roman colony, and it has since developed into a beautiful cosmopolitan city with shops, restaurants and attractions. The impressive Cathedral dominates the skyline with its famous twin spires.
We depart our hotel after breakfast and return home.
