We head towards Italy. We stay for five nights in Arco, near Lake Garda on all-inclusive basis.
With over 70 wooden huts selling all manner of Christmas-themed goods and handcrafted wares, as well as many delicious cakes, delicacies and foods, the Trento Christmas Market is absolutely fantastic. Located on the Piazza Fiera and Piazza Cesare Battisti, the market is one of the city’s most popular winter events. We’ll visit for a full day, and will be able to buy Christmas decorations, gifts, and more, and there will be more than enough mulled wine and hot toddy to sample while we’re there! The twinkling lights and attractive scenery will certainly help to make this excursion all the more special.
Verona is one of Italy’s most romantic cities, thanks to the fact that Shakespeare chose this city to set his romantic tragedy Romeo and Juliet. While the couple were purely fictional, there are many attractions which claim by local legend to have once set the scene for Romeo and Juliet. For example, there’s Juliet’s House, where we’ll find the balcony Romeo is said to have serenaded his love, as well as the Basilica di San Zeno where the two were supposedly married in secret. Join our optional guided tour and discover the history and main sights.
Merry Christmas! Relax at the hotel, tuck into a Christmas lunch and enjoy the festive atmosphere in the hotel with your fellow travellers.
Join our optional excursion to the beautiful city of Venice, where we’ll find stunning architecture, fascinating history and vibrant culture. Venice is one of the most interesting cities in the world, with its winding canals and reputation for being the birthplace (and adopted home) of many amazing musicians. Today, Venice is an extraordinary city with lots to discover, from museums to art galleries, monuments to bridges, and everything in between. Some of the most famous places we’ll be able to visit at leisure while in the city include Ca' d'Oro, the Doge's Palace and the Clock Tower. There’s also the Basilica di San Marco, the Bridge of Sighs, Rialto Bridge and the famous Grand Canal.

We’ll leave Italy behind this afternoon, saying goodbye to our hotel and making our way towards Belgium and our overnight hotel.
