Local departure by coach or Home Connect service and then onto Dundee for a four night stay. On arrival, we enjoy welcoming tea and shortbread.
Our taste of Scotland commences with a trip along the coast to the famous golf town of Carnoustie. We continue on to Arbroath, a town steeped in maritime history. Entry into the Signal Tower Museum is included, the oldest sea-washed lighthouse in the world that tells the tale of the town and its famous fish - The "Smokie".
Later in the day we call at Dundee, with its rejuvenated waterfront and enjoy afternoon tea in a local hotel.
Enjoy a tour and tasting at Kingsbarns distillery which offers the perfect introduction to Scotland's amber nectar. After some free time in St Andrews we'll round the day off with a fish & chip dinner at a multi-award winning 'chippie' in the town.
We follow the River Tay to Glamis, home to the Gin Bothy where we sample the seasonal flavours and hear the story behind this quirky buildings. We continue to Pitlochry with some free time to explore this Highland town before we venture further into Perthshire to visit the Highland Chocolatier. Hailed by Michelin starred chefs, this is a truly special treat.
This evening we will enjoy our farewell Taste of Scotland dinner at the hotel.

We continue our journey north, crossing into Scotland, and onto Dundee for a five night stay. On arrival, we enjoy welcoming tea and shortbread.

Relax in Dundee and explore at your own pace. With its compact size and streets packed with peculiar treasures, Dundee is an urban wonderland. The city has rebuilt and reinvented itself three times in the last 350 years and echoes of the past sit alongside modern architecture and the city if peppered with fascinating visitor attractions.

We retrace our steps, crossing back to England and to a comfortable hotel for an overnight stay.

If travelling from the North of England, you will stay for four nights at the three-star Invercarse Hotel, Dundee.
If travelling from the South of England, you will stay for five nights at the Invercarse Hotel, and will have a comfortable overnight stay en route outbound and return.
