Local departure by coach or Home Connect service then on to Ilfracombe for a four-night stay.
Visit the market town of Bideford, complete with its thriving shopping centre, bustling market and working harbour. The former home of author Charles Kingsley, Bideford featured in his works with particular references made to the white houses that the town is known for.
Later in the day we call at the Dartington Crystal Visitor Centre to see the skilled craft makers at work. Learn more about Dartington's glass making story in the Visitor Centre, before admiring the glass makers at work from the viewing areas and overhead walkways.
Relax in Ilfracombe today or why not join our optional excursion to Barnstaple. Barnstaple is an ancient market town situated on the River Taw, and here you will find a traditional pannier market, along with the usual high street shops, indoor shopping centres and local stores.
Today we visit pretty Lynton and Lynmouth. These two pretty villages are situated within Exmoor National Park, just along the coast from the Valley of Rocks formations and surrounded by spectacular scenery. Lynton is located 500 feet above its twin village of Lynmouth and the villages are connected by the olde-worlde funicular railway that offers wonderful views across the bay.
